On Friday night (January 31), a host of musicians paid tribute to the Grateful Dead at the 2025 MusiCares Persons of the Year Gala at the Los Angeles Convention Center. This year’s event also raised funds for victims of the Los Angeles fires, including music industry professionals who lost their recording studios, instruments, and equipment in the blaze. The gala was hosted by Bravo’s Andy Cohen, and featured performances by John Mayer, Billy Strings, Zac Brown, My Morning Jacket, Mick Fleetwood, Stewart Copeland, the War and Treaty, and more, all celebrating the iconic rock band’s 60th anniversary.
