The music world is mourning the death of a man who has been called the “American Beatle,” Glen Campbell.
He’s best remembered for his iconic songs “Rhinestone Cowboy” and “Gentle On My Mind” along with his many appearances on TV and film.
Here at The X, we remember his 2008 album “Meet Glen Campbell,” where the country legend gave us his take on rock songs from the likes of Tom Petty, U2, John Lennon, Foo Fighters and Green Day.
He took these tracks to a whole new level. Here’s his version of “Times Like These,” which sounds like it was lifted from a ’70s country record.
And now here’s his twangy take on “Good Riddance.”
Rest in Peace, Glen Campbell.
