AUGUST 7, 2010 - POKER RUN - "Ride for Veterans Poker Run & Road Rally" sponsored by the Iron Horse Helpers will be held rain or shine at the Womelsdorf VFW Pavilion, 123 South Water Street, Womelsdorf, PA 19567. Sign in is from 9-11 AM. Motorcycles and cars are welcome. Donation $15.00 in advance or $ 20.00 at the door. Food, beverage and bands are included accompanied by Chinese auction and games. Contact the Iron Horse Helpers at ironhorsehelpers@yahoo.com or visit our web site at www.ironhorsehelpers.org for tickets. All proceeds raised will benefit our local Military Veterans in need. Adults 21 years of age and older only.

Camping Welcome. Festival opens to public @ 5pm. Bands, games, door prizes. Ride Donation: $15/person to benefit "Kelsy's Dream" (helping Children in Need.) August 19-22 , 2010 - Annual America’s 911 Ride - We visit all three 911 terror attack sites. We leave Somerset Friday the 20th to the Pentagon. Saturday the 21st we head to NYC, and Sunday we return home. Each year we have nearly 1 thousand riders and some 100 motor officers escorting us.

NEWS STORY - BIKERS are Rough On the Outside .. Soft On the Inside
A new survey by Progressive Insurance reveals that bikers are more charitable and romantic than non-riders.
When asked to describe their romantic side, 40% of bikers, as opposed to 34% of non-riders, said, “I’m a hopeless romantic”. Other findings:
- 43% of bikers, as opposed to 39% of non-riders, are involved in a charitable cause.
